Corporations across the world serve healthy TFT meals
Mitsui & Co. (Japan) Testimonial
TABLE FOR TWO launched at Mitsui’s cafeteria in the Ootemachi district of Tokyo in August 2008. However, despite a strong start to the program sales slowly declined in 2009.
Enter the TABLE FOR TWO Task Force. A group of 60-odd young staff got together with a mission to bring TFT’s presence back to the cafeteria. Led by its four core members, the Task Force was able to increase monthly TFT meal sales by over two-fold within a period of just one month. With creative ideas including TFT Bentos (lunch boxes) for take-away meals and frequent user cards, the Task Force ensures that the social cause is not forgotten.
The TFT Task Force did not stop there, however. Once their home turf was secured, they ventured out to other corporations and restaurants to spread the message. The four core members – known as the Young Gang of Four (YG4) – believe that a good heart is needed to start a cause, but that business skills are key to keep a social movement going, and believe TFT’s model is a perfect example of the two coming together.
