Banda Village is a small village located in southwest Rwanda, by the Nyungwe Forest National Park. The area is remote, and has suffered from extreme poverty, lack of access to clean drinking water, and HIV/AIDS, among other problems. TFT supports a school meals program for 300 students at a nursery school, serving Sosoma – a mix of vitamins, sorghum, soy, and corn.

Mayange is located in the Bugesera District, approximately 40 km south of the capital, Kigali. Due to poor rains and degrading soil, the region has been suffering from endemic poverty. In Mayange, TFT supports – in partnership with the community – the school meals programs for 321 students at 5 nursery schools. The students are provided with a porridge made from maize flour and sugar each day.
