TABLE FOR TWO is an organization that simultaneously addresses hunger in the developing world, and obesity and other life-style related diseases in the developed world.
How We Got Started
In our world of 6 billion, 1 billion suffer from hunger, while another 1 billion suffer from obesity and other life-style related diseases.
Mission
TABLE FOR TWO’s mission is to promote health in both the developing and the developed world.
We seek to simultaneously address hunger in the developing world, and obesity and other life-style related diseases in the developed world.
We aim to bring balance and health to the world where there is currently imbalance and suffering.
This grave imbalance is what prompted us to create TABLE FOR TWO.
The number of group participants in the TABLE FOR TWO program exceeded 100 by the end of 2008. Starting in company cafeterias, the program has spread to cafes, online stores, and convenience stores enabling us to broaden our appeal.
Aside from promoting the food program, we have also expanded our activity toward an enlightenment campaign, which aims to propagate the philosophy of TABLE FOR TWO and increase an awareness of food issues through lectures and published book ( "Connecting the world with 20cents" ).
Our movement started in Japan has now also spread overseas to the US. TABLE FOR TWO’s US branch was officially opened in 2008 with programs having commenced in 2009.

Our name captures the fact that a healthy meal bought in your company cafeteria also buys a school meaｌ for a child in the developing world.
You, as a participant in the developed world, are not eating alone; ignoring time and borders, you are eating at a table together with children who are less fortunate.
We believe that this sense of unity and empathy - brought about by sharing a TABLE FOR TWO - is critical for the wellbeing of our world today.
How TABLE FOR TWO works?
When any TFT healthy meal is bought in your company cafeteria or when any other TFT licensed food is purchased, 20cents per meal is donated to TABLE FOR TWO. This provides one school meal for a child in a developing country.
20 cents is all it costs to fund one of our school meals. We believe it is a win-win situation where one meal bought in the developed world can also buyameal in a developing nation.
Where we provide meals?
Your donations provide school meals at participating schools in three African countries: Uganda, Rwanda and Malawi.
